what is paretologic? in my add and remove list.?

i have windowsxp prof. and i was looking through the add/remove programs sections trying to clean out excess and i came across this “paretologic”. i dont know if i should remove it or what. what exactly is it and what does it do? please tell me in simple terms. thanks so much.

Paretologic is the maker of borderline rogue software such as Xoftspy and RegCure.

EVERYTHING that Paretologic makes give exaggerated claims of finding malware or registry errors on your computer so that you will buy it.

Trust me, you do NOT need anything from Paretologic!

    It is a suite of programs, anti-virus, anti-spyware, registry cleaner etc.

    You probably need it.
